Asgard Edge Plugin

Redfish Technologies has developed ASGARD EDGE, the first a multi-channel audio recording system leveraging the Q-SYS commercial platform integrated architecture. Using this Q-SYS architecture, Redfish has developed the multi-channel audio recording solution, with detailed annotations taken from each microphone channel, which can auto annotate multiple times per second. The audio recording and metadata is time synchronised, providing high grade evidential recording that can be used for the creation of transcription via traditional methods or via automated speech to text AI engines. ASGARD EDGE has a built-in transfer engine, moving the recording from the Q-SYS platform to a central data server, as each recording block is completed.   These recording files are then available for any 3^rd party platform to use the files for the production of the transcription.

Provided with a universal User Interface (UI) design that allows for START/STOP of the recordings, manual metadata entry, description field and preset data, the ASGARD EDGE plugin is ideally suited to the justice and parliamentary sectors where recording and monitoring need to evolve to the next level. It removes the need for expensive recording software and dedicated PC Recording machines and infrastructure, providing all these functions within the DSP. ASGARD EDGE also provides improved efficiency and accuracy with automated metadata “logging” of people talking per microphone allowing a very detailed timestamps log of the events with the recording. The plugin is designed to “drop” into any Q-SYS program and provide all the functions needed, at a much lower cost than a traditional Court Recording software solution. Any Q-SYS programmer can also modify and adjust the UI to suit the specific needs of their customer, without affecting the ASGARD EDGE plugin. Additionally an API for external control via the Q-Sys Named Controls interface is also provided allowing any external control systems to Start/Stop and query the recorder.

ASGARD EDGE recordings and metadata are supported by TheRecordXchange (https://trxchange.com/), a cloud-based transcription and production system that can play, manage and provide automated speech recognition using Amazon Web Services. Other 3^rd party transcription management platforms can also use the recording and metafile. Redfish provides full documentation on the structure and the use of the files so they can be read and played back as required by any platform.
